>>Call for Papers for the IJPT's April 2021 Issue<<
The International Journal of Political Theory is currently accepting submissions for its 2021 April issue, Volume 5, by the deadline of December 1st 2020. See the scope and published subjects and themes on the website's homepage. All submissions undergo double-blind peer-review and can take several weeks. The IJPT is an open-access political theory journal and is available without cost online. Articles are indexed and advertised on several indices and major search engines based upon provided keywords for the submissions. The editorial board asks that prospective authors provide a list recommended reviewers (although their use is not guaranteed), and mention the importance of the article in the contemporary world. Most importantly, the journal is looking for works that highlight the originality of the study's argument. |
Submission Instructions
Submissions to the journal ideally remain within the range of 7,000 to 10,000 words. Exceptional works may be accepted beyond the upper and lower limits. Manuscripts should be submitted as word documents, single spaced, with 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Submissions should be formatted to the 16th edition Chicago style referencing format and can be uploaded using ManuscriptLink under the "Submit" heading. The document file must be either the standard US letter or A4 paper size. Single-spaced footnotes are converted to endnotes during the typesetting stage of publication.
Tables, figures and corresponding captions may be attached directly to the document so as to make it "camera-ready". Figures and photos should be submitted as preferably as JPEG, TIFF, or PNG files with 300 DPI. Colour pictures are printed in black-and-white on paper. Figures may alternatively be placed in an appendix or separate file and sent as an attachment by email.
Both American and British styles of English are accepted, provided that the chosen standard is kept consistent throughout the work.
Manuscripts are to be submitted to the journal through the journal's manuscript submission service, ManuscriptLink. If you feel you were not given due treatment at any point within the submission process, please contact our Ethical Review Chair, Dr. Phillip Carmical. We are proud to be a journal of high ethical standards. The IJPT is a peer-reviewed journal that uses the double-blind peer review process. The process can take several months.
Authors are required to certify that their works are original and their own opinions or statements appear in this journal. Opinions expressed in the articles of the IJPT are the sole responsibility of the contributor(s) concerned in publication. For more information, see our ethics guidelines and author fees statements.
