Publication Model
Publishing Organization and Model
The International Journal of Political Theory is published by Emertec Research and Development, a research organization consisting of over 30 international researchers. Emertec currently funds the journal's publication costs, which include typesetting, staff management, marketing (advertising), and the cost of online publishing. The IJPT is a Diamond open access journal, and does not charge Article Processing Charges. Articles appear online as PDF documents and in various journal indices; hard copies are available upon order.
Peer Review Process
International Journal of Political Theory is peer-reviewed by two external peer reviewers using a double-blind method. After initial submission, all contributions are examined for relevance to the journal scope and academic rigor. The Editor will approve relevant submissions, which are then sent out to two external reviewers. Peer review reports are who respond recommending either acceptance, revisions, or rejection. Authors are given time to respond to reviewers' comments and make necessary revisions, which require final approval from the reviewers. The peer-review process can take several weeks or months.
Original articles, rejoinders, and commentaries are peer reviewed. Book reviews only undergo internal evaluation.

Ethics Statement
Dear Reader,
Submissions made to International Journal of Political Theory undergo an objective, double-blind peer review process in which a single standard is used to analyze the relevance and academic quality of the individual papers. IJPT keeps its academic work at a higher standard than average theory journals such that there must be a unique and provocative argument made, preferably changing the dimensions (major or minor) of the field of study.
The IJPT is dedicated to providing costless education and information to all seekers of knowledge. Please refer to the IJPT's statement regarding its open access policy.
Academic integrity is unreservedly crucial to the submission review process. The standard of originality, ethical academic rigour, and honesty are paramount principles to be followed both by researchers and the individuals involved in the review process. The COPE (Committee of Publication Ethics) guidelines are followed throughout the review and publication process.
Published opinions of the authors do not necessarily reflect that of the journal or Emertec Research and Development to which the journal is connected to. Authors are expected to give due credit for work and disclose potential conflict of interest and funding sources. It is expected that the corresponding author represents other author parties.
Editors and reviewers are to evaluate and complete their respective duties towards the works submitted solely on the intellectual and academic rigor and contribution of the work, and not on basis of individual, group, religion, race, gender, or other biases. Reviewers and editors are given intellectual autonomy but are expected to evaluate cases to their knowledge (if at all), and refrain from reviewing where there may be potential bias. All reports of bias may be submitted to the independent ethics review Chair. Full confidentiality is maintained throughout the submission process, and publication may only occur with the consent of the necessary parties involved.
The IJPT and its editorial board and affiliates are all represented in this statement and committed to upholding the standards in it.
Sincerely,
