Open Access

Why Open Access?

The IJPT is dedicated to providing costless education and information to all seekers of knowledge. Our philosophy derives from the belief that - especially in an age of new disinformation (the information age) - all researchers should have access to the most high-quality and knowledgeable information.

Unlike a number of for-profit institutions, IJPT's editorial board is committed to being those who disseminate knowledge to all. Since ancient times, access to 'information' has been especially hard for the lower class; this continues to be the case today.

For details on publication practices and funding, see the Publication Fee and Ethics page.

Repository and Self-Archival Policy

Following the IJPT's open access mandate, authors retain the right to self-archival of all versions of their papers: accepted, post-proof, etc. Authors regularly upload their work to PhilPapers and related self-archival indices.
