Halifax, N.S. Canada - The International Journal of Political Theory editorial board is proud to present the first issue of the newly launched IJPT academic journal. The IJPT is an academic, peer-reviewed, political theory journal which publishes provocative new theories in the field of political theory and philosophy.
The journal, which has been called 'revolutionary' by some, publishes both on contemporary international political topics as well as on older thinkers and topics in political science. Provocative, new theories that challenge the orthodox academic status quo are highly encouraged - it is a database of a wide range of foundational, interdisciplinary theories involving various areas of study. Key new theories proposed in the first issue include "Understanding Political Islam and Morality: Khaldunian versus Liberal Models" and "Defining Humanity to Discern and Develop a Theory of Human Rights". All articles and reviews can be found at www.ijpt.ca/issues. The journal has goals to break records in the history of political theory journals, anticipating high rates of reading, a large impact factor, and media coverage. All editorial board members have a high level of experience with academic study in their respective fields. The founding members of the journal have experience in provocative theoretical literature and media coverage. The IJPT hopes to serve as an ideological beacon for political theory discourse and even knowledge as a whole.
